Anne Boleyn, the most famous queen consort in history. Mother of Elizabeth I, beheaded by order of her husband, King Henry VIII on charges of adultery, incest and other despicable lies, so that he could be free to marry Jane Seymur. She was not known as a great beauty with her "swarthy" complexion, wide mouth and dark eyes, all of these being concidered unattractive in that day and age. Her influence and striking persona caused Henry to break with both the catholic church and his first marriage.
